Past and Present: Pictorial Journey of Grand Bahama—Part 2

My photo recreation continues! This batch was very interesting to take as there were more identifiers of change between the photos. As I use to (and still do) like to play the game where you spot the differences between two photos, I challenge you to see if you can spot them.

Meditations On Life

What's a four letter, one syllable word that carries a ton of weight and meaning? Yes, it's life. That then begs the questionwhy? I believe it’s because we’re all chasing something in order to define it. Whether it’s love, money, happiness, or peace, we all are searching…Which makes me wonder. Are we actually living? The action, the art of doing life. It’s so easy to lose sight of everything else when chasing after a lifestyle that is craved.

Just the other day, I drove down to the end of the block from my childhood home which I hadn't done in a very long time. When I reached the end and was turning around to return to the beginning, a wave of realisation washed over me. All of the elders that knew me from when I was a child…were gone, including my grandmother. Even though I knew it in my mind, seeing the houses in person, the realization that these once familiar faces would no longer be seen.

We are all aware that life is precious and short, but many of us live as if we have forever to achieve our hearts truest desires. I believe that life wasn’t meant to be so complicated as we make it out to be. Have you attained, what you’re searching for? My only ask is that you don’t forget to live while searching.

Until next time, live!

Fun Fact: It took three individual attempts to capture the below recreation. After the second attempt, I became frustrated, but after finally figuring out the correct angle and execution, the pride was real.
